TRUE, a leader in public relations, social media, influencer relations and content creation for active outdoor brands, announced today that Elizabeth Pecknold has joined the agency as Director of Business Development and Marketing. Pecknold most recently served as the National Sales Manager of Climbing Magazine, a publication of Active Interest Media, and has also worked on titles such as Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times.
“We’ve doubled in size in the past three years,” said Mark Riedy, founder of TRUE Communications. “We’ve done that by increasing the types of services we provide to active outdoor brands to include social media, influencer relations and content creation. Liz will help us tell that story and will be responsible for developing engagements with new clients. Her background in media sales is the perfect experience for her role at TRUE and we’re fortunate to welcome her to the team.”
“It is a dream to work for such a progressive and forward thinking company like TRUE Communications,” says Pecknold, “TRUE’s unique blending of traditional public relations, content creation, social strategy and influencer marketing reflects the needs of marketers across the active outdoor space. I am stoked to jump in with both feet and to further TRUE’s business and brand across outdoor industries.”
Pecknold will play a strategic role in securing new business opportunities for TRUE and help to lead and evolve TRUE’s marketing department. Along with TRUE Account Director, Andrew Bernstein, Pecknold will help build a TRUE office in Boulder, Colorado, establishing TRUE in a region fast becoming the epicenter of the outdoor industry.
